Casau

Village located in a priviledged area watched over by the mountain, Montcorbison. Offers exceptional views above Vielha and with the Baquiera mountain and High Aran off in the distance. It is the first village of the Valley entering from the Vielha tunnel. Its church, dedicated to Saint Andrés, is a good example of the coming together of various architectural styles. With one of the latest bell towers of the Valley dated back to the 18th century and a magnificent collection of sculptures in the interior, the church is considered unique. From Casau one can go up toward the Bassa (pond) de Oles at the base of Montcorbison mountain from which one can take a number of beautiful nature hikes.
